HOW can Southend Council believe a new four-lane road from the west and an exiting four-lane road from the east with a two-lane section in the middle will work?
If they cannot do the job properly they should forget it, but if they do, no more development should take place to the east.
I believe if they were to leave Cuckoo Corner Roundabout as it is and use the existing bridge by providing new foot-bridges alongside, they could do the complete dual carriageway for a lot less money.
If they only do part of the work they will certainly have to come back to finish off in the future. Is that posibly what they have in mind?
