I WAS disappointed that James Duddridge MP decided to use his three minutes of parliamentary time (Oct 9) to push for the dualling of Priory Crescent in Southend.
He ignored all the evidence that the majority of people in Southend do not want it and know it would not improve the traffic problems along the A127. Add to that the huge cost invluved (up to £25m) and the desecration of an internationally important burial site and it is difficult to see how this scheme can possibly be justified.
